For a few years, we'd been saying to each other, "How nice it would be to have a little wire-haired dachshund!"
So, when we only had Teddy left, we decided it was time for a "Miniature Wire-haired Dachshund."
We'd already been on Jan Bušta's list (Vitoraz kennel) when we received the message that he had a female available for us. Two weeks later, we were in the car to pick up Nova in the Czech Republic.

And then a whole new experience began for us. A new breed for us (hence the name Nova, which means "new"), a small dog (which took some getting used to because you have to watch your step), and a different temperament than the Dalmatian (small in stature, big in character).

But together with Teddy, they're a great team!!
